More woes on Air France planes - The West Australian

Air France has cancelled a flight from Sao Paulo to Paris due to damage on the fuselage of the aircraft, in the third incident in less than a week on flights between Brazil and France.

The carrier says an inspection of the Boeing 777 revealed damage to the aircraft's fuselage, forcing the cancellation of Flight 455 on Thursday.

The 227 passengers spent the night in Sao Paulo and the flight was rescheduled for Friday.

The incident came two days after an Air France plane en route to Paris from Rio de Janeiro was forced to make an emergency return because several of the aircraft's toilets did not work.

The Boeing 747 airplane had 443 passengers on board and was two-and-half hours into the flight when the pilot made a decision to return to Rio.

Late Saturday, an Air France jumbo jet with 405 passengers on board, en route to Paris, landed in Recife on Brazil's Atlantic coast overnight after a false bomb alert.

Last June, an Air France Airbus A330 crashed off the coast of Brazil en route to Paris, killing all 228 people on board. It was the worst crash in Air France's 75-year-history.
