Hier ist die E-Mail, die ich vor 4 Monaten an den Fiji Airways Kundenservice geschickt haben:
"Unfortunately I've had a very unhappy experience with Fiji Aiways. I've booked the flight FJ917 from Nadi to Sydney for the 23rd April 7am and I arrived 5:45am to return my rental car. After that I arrived 6am to line up at the check in counter to drop my luggage. The Fiji Airways staff asked me about the destination and I told him Sydney. By him not saying anything else or letting me proceed to the counter I expected the timing was still ok so I was waiting, but when it was my turn at the counter around 6.15am I was told that it would be too late to check in and advised me to another counter. At this counter I was told that I cannot board the flight, but that they could board me on the FJ911 flight at 9.20am if I'd pay the difference in airfare of 746 FJD. Since I've already paid 521 FJD for my FJ917, I took out my cell phone and checked fijiairways.com for fare information.
Surprisingly I've found the FJ911 being listed for 512 FJD, so I've asked why the difference in airfare is higher than buying a new ticket. I was told that the booking system is very complicated and that he can only offer me the fare his supervisor told him, but I could contact the customer service center for further assistance. I booked the FJ911 flight for 512 FJD ending up paying 1033 FJD in total."
Die Airline hat geantwortet, dass es trotzdem mein Verschulden war und ich keine Erstattungsansprüche habe. Darauf hin habe ich angefragt, ob ich zumindest die Flughafensteuer erstattet bekommen könnte, aber darauf habe ich bis heute keine Antwort erhalten. Was tun? Und war es wirklich meine Schuld obwohl ich 60 Minuten vor Abflug beim Fiji Schalter war?
