Cuban state media confirms that an Aerocaribbean flight has crashed, in Cuba.

From the sketchy details available at the moment, this flight seems to be.

7L 883 Santiago de Cuba, SCU to Havana, HAV operated by an ATR 72 aircraft.

The flight was due to depart SCU at 1830 local and arrive in HAV at 2030 local.

The state confirms that the flight had 61 passengers ( among them 28 foreigners ) and 7 crew onboard. There are no survivors, reported state media. May they all rest in peace.

Aerocaribbean operates five ATR72-212 aircraft among its fleet of ATR42 and 737.

No other info is available at the time.

Aerocaribbean is a subsidiary of Cubana, and this flight might have been codeshared by the latter.

A small charter plane with at least 20 people on board crashed after taking off from Pakistan's Karachi airport on Friday, an aviation official said.

It was not immediately clear how many people died or what caused the crash, but there were reports that some passengers were wounded.

Reuters reported 11 bodies were recovered.
