Hi zusammen,

Was Expertflyer nicht berücksichtigen dürfte.

Only the KVS Tool supports Expanded Award Availability on LH/LX/OS/LO for M&M Members (as well as Standard Award Availability for other *A FFPs):

Yeah, but that was not my question. I was asking if it is possible to set alerts (email/SMS) once award seats become available. And that's apparently something KVS can't do.

There is no way to receive "alerts (email/SMS) once award seats become available".

Certain other tools/services, offer periodic (e.g. every 24 hours) checking functions (and only for Standard *A Award Availability, not the Expanded M&M Award Availability).

The only fully reliable way to secure Award Seats (especially as a M&M Member) is to search for Award Availability in real-time (which you can conveniently do via the KVS Tool) and then book right away.

The problem is that to do that, you have to enter your M&M credentials, i.e. number & PIN.
Since KVS uses access to data in a - let us say politely - not entirely kosher way, in the end the user himself could even be accussed of hacking / mis-use of data etc.

Currently, that is my main issue with KVS.

That is not a "problem" -- it is a solution.

You have been a KVS Tool Member since 2009, so there is clearly no issue.

Currently, that is my main issue with KVS.

We're pleased to hear that.

Is this the way you protect your customers' data and privacy? Publicly talking about their account details?

We have been keeping our Member's private account details fully confidential since the KVS Tool has been established back in 2004.

A mere reference to the approximate duration of one's Membership in a Member-initiated dialogue does not change that in any way.

For real time expanded award availability on LH/LX/OS I do not need a special tool, but I can use my M&M account (where I can then directly book).

The alert function of other tools might not be 100% reliable, but it is nevertheless useful. Not only for Awards, but also for regular booking classes. And in many cases it was enough to get the desired award or booking class, without having to check availabilities manually every day.

Thanks, but that is completely useless. For that I could just use Lufthansa.de. I don't need a 3rd party tool for that.
