When will the Miles & More system be updated to a new, technically advanced platform?
We will begin our initial preparations at the end of January 2012. For the latest schedule, please visit Miles & More - Miles & More on the move.
How long will the upgrade take?
The system upgrade will only take a few days. During this transition period, your access to Miles & More services will be limited.
In the first few days you will still be able to access your account information as usual, but we will be unable to display recent changes to your mileage account balance.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to make any award bookings during this transition period. Nor will you be able to change your personal data during this time.
Which services will be affected by the platform upgrade?
The following services will be unavailable:
- Booking flight awards on all airlines
- Mileage upgrades
- Hotel and car rental awards
- Awards for non-travel-related partners such as buch.de
- Address changes
- Permission changes
- PIN changes
- Online enrolment
You will have limited access to the following services:
- Mileage credit will be updated retroactively with a few days’ delay
- Account information will be available, but the mileage account balance will not reflect recent changes
The following services will be unavailable only for a couple of hours:
- Log-in
You can book awards in the WorldShop and SWISS Shop as usual throughout the upgrade period.

During this period you will be able to collect miles as usual with all partners, but your mileage credit will be updated with a few days' delay.

This function will be available throughout, but you will not be able to book award flights during this period.

During the system upgrade you will not be able to book award flights in the Miles & More Service Centre or on miles-and-more.com. Therefore, we kindly ask that you book your award flights before the middle of January 2012.
Will I be able to book mileage upgrades during this period?
Unfortunately you will not be able to upgrade your mileage during the upgrade period. This also includes upgrades directly at the gate.
