Hallo,

Thank you for contacting Expedia about your request for a refund of taxes on your ailine tickets.

In accordance with the provisions of the United States Internal Revenue Code, and other non-U.S. tax entities, Expedia is unable to refund taxes imposed by the United States Government or other governments on un-used, non-refundable tickets. Please contact the Internal Revenue Service if you have any questions.

You may call the Internal Revenue Service's main information line at 1-800-829-1040 (Monday – Friday, 7:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. the caller's local time; Alaska and Hawaii follow Pacific Time).

Credits or Refunds

If tax is collected and paid over for air transportation that is not taxable air transportation, the collector may claim a credit or refund if it has repaid the tax to the person from whom the tax was collected or obtained the consent of that person to the allowance of the credit or refund.
