Analog zu British Airways gibt auch Iberia heute Änderungen bei den Regeln zum Sammeln und Einlösen von Avios bekannt, mit Wirksamkeit zum 1. März. Natürlich auf vielfachen Kundenwunsch! 
"Whenever you buy a ticket after March 1st, you will get Avios, not only in accordance with the class of travel, but also with the fare class you choose. Remember that the ticket you buy before this date will maintain the conditions at the time of purchase."
Änderungen bzgl. Sammeln der Status relevanten Elite Points werden erst später bekannt gegeben.
"After April 1st, you will get Elite Points according to the fare class you choose. But both the Elite Points and the number of flights needed to go on to a higher level or maintain your card level will remain the same. The new Elite Points table will be published on March 1st at Iberia.com, and will be effective by April 1st."

Alles in allem ähnelt das sehr stark LH M&M. Somit reagiert auch IAG und kürzt die Benefits für Gelegenheitsflieger. Aus betriebswirtschaftlicher Sicht sicher überfällig.
