As we welcome the new year, we would like to share some updates to the KrisFlyer programme with you.

Extension of Your Elite Gold membership for a Second Year
The past year has been a challenging time for everyone, with mass disruptions to travel plans due to unprecedented border closures. Given the lack of flying opportunities in the past year, Singapore Airlines will automatically extend your KrisFlyer Elite Gold status for another 12 months at the end of your membership year which is due between March 2021 and February 2022¹.

In appreciation of your support, any Elite miles you have earned in the 12 months prior to your second year membership extension will be credited back to your account automatically after your membership extension to count towards your Elite Gold membership renewal due between March 2022 and February 2023. Introducing KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards
This month, we are pleased to launch KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards², a new feature expanded on from Elite Gold Rewards. Elite Gold Rewards have now been renamed KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards, and more milestones have been added to track and reward you for Elite miles earned, not only from flights taken on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, but also on Scoot annually.
With rewards extended to you at various milestones, starting from just 5,000 Elite miles, you can look forward to a wide range of rewards from KrisPay miles to cabin-class Advance Upgrades onboard our flights. The tracking period for KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards has also been changed to calendar year instead of your membership year. For more details, please click here.

Earn Elite Miles When You Fly with Scoot
As the rewards programme of the SIA Group, you can also now earn Elite miles on Scoot flights starting from 1 January 2021. Elite miles earned will track you towards your KrisFlyer Elite Gold membership renewal³.

Removal of Physical Membership Kits
As a KrisFlyer Elite Gold member, all travel benefits will be automatically made available to you once your KrisFlyer membership number is included in your flight bookings.
With a fully digital KrisFlyer programme in place, we will cease sending physical membership kits to all KrisFlyer Elite members qualifying or renewing their membership from 1 March 2021, as part of our ongoing sustainability efforts to go paperless and reduce our environmental footprint. Where necessary, you can continue to access your digital card using the SingaporeAir mobile app.

¹ This complimentary extension will supersede the earlier renewal support scheme initiative for KrisFlyer Elite members. 50% of the required Elite miles for requalification will be no longer be credited to your KrisFlyer account.

As we look forward to welcoming you on board Singapore Airlines (SIA) in the new year, we are pleased to share the following programme improvements for the benefit of our members.

EXTENSION OF YOUR KRISFLYER ELITE MEMBERSHIP FOR ANOTHER YEAR

In recognition of your loyalty and given the limited flying opportunities available in the past year, SIA will automatically renew your KrisFlyer Elite Gold status for another 12 months for your next membership renewal that is due between March 2022 and February 2023. For your convenience, you can access your digital membership card via the SingaporeAir mobile app.

Any Elite miles1 you have earned through air or non-air accruals in your membership qualification cycle will be brought forward to your next membership renewal cycle, to count towards your membership requalification due between March 2023 and February 2024. For more information, click here.

KRISFLYER, SIA GROUP’S REWARDS PROGRAMME

We have introduced more ways for KrisFlyer members to be rewarded when you spend with partners within the SIA Group. Besides earning and redeeming miles with Singapore Airlines, you can look forward to unlocking more rewards whenever you spend with Kris+, KrisShop, Pelago and Scoot.

The KrisFlyer logo that you see above has also been updated to reflect KrisFlyer's new brand positioning as the loyalty programme for the SIA Group.

NEW KRISFLYER MILESTONE REWARDS

This year, we are also introducing two new KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards starting from just 1,000 Elite miles earned in a calendar year, gifting you with even more rewards as you reach various milestones sooner when you fly with Singapore Airlines and/or Scoot:

MORE BENEFITS WHEN YOU FLY WITH SCOOT

From 17 January 2022, you can also look forward to more benefits when you fly with our sister airline Scoot. You will earn 2.5 Elite miles for every KrisFlyer mile earned from flying on Scoot3 from the current 1 Elite mile for every KrisFlyer mile earned.

From January, KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Elite Silver members will enjoy an accelerated earn rate of 25% bonus KrisFlyer miles4, as well as travel benefits5 when flying on Scoot, including BoardMeFirst, complimentary standard seat selection, as well as an additional 5kg with every baggage allowance purchase.

COMPLIMENTARY EXTENSION OF EXPIRING KRISFLYER MILES AND KRISFLYER MILESTONE REWARDS

To offer you greater flexibility as you plan your travels in the coming year, we will pause the expiration of KrisFlyer miles in 2022. This means any KrisFlyer miles that are expiring between January and December 2022 will be automatically extended in your account by 6 months at a time, at the end of each month. For example, KrisFlyer miles that are expiring in January 2022 will be extended to July 2022 at the end of January 2022, and if unutilised by July 2022, they will be extended to January 2023.

KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards expiring in 2022 will also be extended to 31 December 2022, to offer you greater flexibility in utilising the rewards earned from flying with us.
