Air Finland pleite

The airline Air Finland has ceased operations, leaving the bankruptcy petition. All flights have been canceled as of today.
The company has resorts around 1 000 customers. Customers' homecoming is organized in cooperation with the Consumer Agency.

Air Finlandin CEO Mika Helenius of high fuel prices, tough competition and overcapacity in the market turned out to be Air Finland for being too cumbersome.

- In this challenging situation, we were unable to obtain additional financing and we are now out of business. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers here, Helenius apologized.

Air Finland has been flying to holiday destinations such as Alicante, Malaga, Antalya, Madeira, Crete, Rhodes, Dubai, Las Palmas and Tenerife.

Air Finlandin is owned by an investment company Berling Capital and Finnish individuals. The company has produced and sold in package tours at Air Finland Holidays.
