Frankfurt Airport, Germany’s most important air traffic hub, will soon be expanded by the new pier A-Plus. The first preparations to incorporate this into the airport’s existing infrastructure are now being made. We are pleased to inform you that in Terminal 1 the gates in the non-Schengen area at the end of Pier A are expected to be renamed on the night of 22 November 2011. From then on, the gates A51 to A65 will be known as gates Z11 to Z25.
The opening of the new pier is scheduled for summer 2012. As well as 23 new gates, travellers will find attractive shopping opportunities and five new Lufthansa lounges here. Further information can be obtained from the airport operator Fraport.
