Samsung has signed an agreement with the Spanish airline Iberia to promote the use of NFC services at airports.
The service, which will use Samsung smartphones will allow boarding passes to be sent to customer's smartphones, and they can then use the NFC facility to check-in at the airports and pass through security. The NFC chip will also open executive lounge facilities for qualifying customers. Ibera also expects that the technology will eventually be used for luggage tracking.
