--> erledigt, danke an NCC1701DATA

Meet Santa - And Not the Mall Version

Cruise to the North Pole

Even among circles of the world's most seasoned jetsetters, voyaging to the Earth's northernmost point in a nuclear-powered icebreaker sounds like a science-fiction fantasy. It is indeed an exotic adventure, but it's totally possible - and there's no better outfit for making it happen than Quark Expeditions, who will take 128 intrepid travelers to the North Pole on this trip of a lifetime. Over two weeks, passengers cruise the icy extremes of the world's northernmost latitudes, encountering charismatic wildlife and endless panoramas of startling blues and whites, climaxing at 90° North. No guarantees on meeting Santa, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Auch hübsch:

----
It’s one of professional football’s holiest sites, so it’s hard to believe the Dallas–Fort Worth area has never hosted a Super Bowl. That’s about to change, on February 6 at Cowboys Stadium, and we’ve got tickets. Our packages include three nights at the InterContinental Dallas Hotel, access to the ESPN pregame party, the Maxim party, the Leather & Laces party and (of course) great seats at the game. See the Black Eyed Peas at halftime, take home an exclusive gift bag, get a private ride to and from the stadium… It’s the biggest game of the year, and we’re doing it right, Jetsetter-style.
What we love

* Package includes two tickets to the Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium, February 6, 2011
* Access to the ESPN Game Day Super Party VIP Lounge (with open bar)
 across the street from the stadium
* Depending on which package you buy, you also get access to the Maxim party or the Leather & Laces party Saturday night, or the Pepsi Musica Super Bowl Fiesta Friday night
*
Private sedan airport transfers and rides to and from the game on a dedicated Jetsetter luxury bus are included

* Three nights at the InterContinental Dallas are included
*
Exclusive gift bag
*
Black Eyed Peas halftime show

What to know

* All event and game tickets will be waiting for you at a Jetsetter booth at the InterContinental Dallas hotel, upon your arrival
* Jetsetter’s Member Services department will be in touch after your purchase to help arrange airport transfers

* Hotel is in Addison, about 35 minutes from Cowboys Stadium and 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, but very near the Galleria and Addison’s “restaurant row”
*
Dallas is a sprawling city; consider renting a car if you plan to hit the city sights

* Pardon the dust: A renovation is underway at the hotel

Why to go

* Sporting
* Nightlife
* Friends

Jetsetter review
It’s one of professional football’s holiest sites, so it’s hard to believe the Dallas–Fort Worth area has never hosted a Super Bowl. That’s about to change, on February 6 at Cowboys Stadium, and we’ve got tickets.

Depending on the package you buy, Jetsetter has seats at the 100, 200, 300 and 400 levels.Our packages include three nights at the InterContinental Dallas Hotel, reserved seats at the ESPN Game Day Super Party VIP Lounge (with an open bar for proper tailgating), access to the Maxim party or the Leather & Laces party Saturday night, and (of course) great seats at the game. See the Black Eyed Peas at halftime, take home an exclusive gift bag, get a private ride to and from the stadium on a dedicated Jetsetter luxury bus… It’s the biggest game of the year, and we’re doing it right.

About the hotel
There’s no hiding the fact that the InterContinental Dallas is far from a neighborhood boutique. Heck, the 15-floor hotel has a whopping 528 rooms, 100,000 square feet of special event space, a full floral shop and a Starbucks inside it.

But the 30-year-old landmark has loads of Texas charm, too. Just look to the breezy lobby bar. Yes, the chocolate and robin’s-egg-blue room can seat 500-plus guests, but there are always two Texas beers on tap (currently on rotation: Saint Arnold and Ziegenbock) and local musicians play Texas-flavored tunes, from Willie Nelson to Spanish guitar music, every Friday and Saturday.

The house’s signature drink, the Tequila Sparkler, is a Texas spin on the classic mimosa (Patron Silver, champagne and Chambord), and guests are offered Southern-style sips, from hot spiced cider to sweet tea, upon arrival.

The InterContinental Dallas, near the Galleria mall, has a whopping 528 rooms.As part of a multimillion-dollar renovation scheduled to finish in 2011, the hotel commissioned Dallas artist Brad Oldham (yes, little brother of interior designer Todd) to create nature-inspired floor-to-ceiling die-cut steel sculptures for public areas lining the lobby.

The guestrooms are spacious, starting at 375 square feet for traditional rooms and going up to 750 square feet for executive suites, which feel more like a friend’s corporate apartment than a hotel room.

The InterContinental Dallas draws a largely business-oriented crowd during the week, but that means weekends can give you room to spread out. There’s also no lack of leisure activities nearby. The swanky Galleria Dallas is just down the street; it brims with designer shops (Louis Vuitton, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue), casual restaurants and a skating rink. Or, hole up in the hotel’s spa, salon, pool or health club (which has saunas, steam rooms and two racquetball courts).

And, of course, there’s that big football game to see over in Arlington.
