Die griechischen Fluglotsen haben für morgen, 5.8., von 14.00 - 18.00 Uhr einen vierstündigen Warnstreik angekündigt und drohen mit weiterer Eskalation ab dem 14.8., sollten ihre Forderungen nicht erfüllt werden

Primär Schaffung einer unabhängigen Flugsicherungsbehörde, deren Einnahmen in die Modernisierung / Verbesserung der griechischen Flugsicherung investiert werden, sowie Umsetzung der entsprechenden EU-Gesetzgebung.

Darüber hinaus auch Dinge wie mehr Personal, insbesondere angesichts der deutlich gestiegenen Zahl an Flügen während der Sommermonate.

The Greek Air Traffic Controllers Association (GATCA) regrets to announce
a 4hour premonitory strike on August 5, 2015 between 14:00 – 18:00 local
time (GMT +3) expecting from the government the initiation of the legal
process for the creation of an independent and sustainable Air Navigation
Service Provider (ANSP) in accordance with the provisions of the relevant
EU legislation and best practices, as discussed and promised in the recent
past.
The urgent creation of an independent ANSP has been suggested by the
official fora of European institutions, as the answer to the shortfalls of the
Hellenic air navigation system being part of the European Network.
On the other hand, in view of the privatization of the 14 regional airports
in Greece, the structural reform of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority
becomes imperative.
We sincerely hope that the government, within the context of the reforms
in the public sector, will respond accordingly otherwise we shall be forced
to continue with industrial actions within August.
