iberia baut ihre business plus kabine auf der A340 flotte um. eine sitzreihe wird entfernt, dafür der sitzabstand pro sitz um ca 30cm vergrössert, sodass auch wirklich lie-flat sitze möglich sein werden.
3 maschinen sind bereits umgerüstet und bis märz 2010 soll die komplette flotte umgestellt sein.

Nachdem offensichtlich noch keiner mit denen geflogen ist, hier schon mal die Ankündigung. Ich werde am 12. April mit einer hoffentlich umgerüsteten A 340 nach IAD fliegen.

Travelers in Iberia's Business Plus class will be able to enjoy the comfort of ergonomic lounge seats that unfold into perfectly flat beds, along with personal space enlarged to 2.20 meters. Nearly all the airline's 33 long-haul aircraft are now equipped with the new configuration and the refitting will be completed in the course of this month.

In addition, Iberia has already started work on the design and selection of components for the next generation of Business class, to be introduced in 2012.

“We want our customers to know that they are the central focus of our strategy, and this is why we are dedicating an important part of our resources to improving the services we offer and the remodeling of Business Plus is one of these elements. This will be followed in two years by another new-generation long-haul business class, which will help consolidate Iberia's leadership in this market” said Iberia's Sales and Customers Manager Manuel López Aguilar.

Bin heute IB LHR-MAD-IAD geflogen. Leider noch die alte C mit altem Schrägsitz. Bericht und Bilder folgen: Aber Fazit schon mal vorab. Gut geschlafen und für den Preis TOP! Horizontal wäre mir aber trotzdem lieber gewesen.
