Servus „Kollegen“,
IHG verwirrt erneut.

Dear Mr. Meick,
Thanks for your response. It's great to hear from you again.
I apologize for the trouble this has caused you. I've coordinated with our team and it looks like the recent changes in the program was just established this 2020 January and is not yet posted on our website.
As advised when booking Reward Night reservation, please don't expect the 2 tier upgrade as it won't be applied to your stay. Although it can be applied to your Weekend Night Certificate booking. Aside from the upgrade all your other Royal Ambassador benefit should be available for you InterContinental Hotel Reward Night booking.
I hope this e-mail helped to answer your concern. But if I missed anything or you have some additional questions, please let us know and we'll be happy to get back in touch.
Thank you for contacting the Ambassador Service Centre and we look forward to welcoming you at an InterContinental Hotels and Resorts property soon.
Sincerely,
Sara

Dear Ambassador-Team,
can you please clarify and confirm the situation?
The RA T&Cs don't actually describe any restrictions, and the hotel (see below) quotes a passage that was meant for Guaranteed Room Availability (footnote 4)?
Are guests booking with points still entitled to all RA benefits without restrictions?

Dear Mr. Meick,
The IHG Rewards terms and conditions, is "Platinum Elite, Spire Elite or Royal Ambassador Guarantees do not apply to Reward or Free Nights." You can find this specific terms and condition by following this link : https://www.ihg.com/content/us/en/customer-care/member-tc/2nd-page Section -4.
Of course, as one of our valuable Spire-Royal Ambassador members, we always do our utmost to assign upgraded rooms, however, for Rewards nights reservations, and due to limited inventory of rooms during our undergoing renovations, we cannot guarantee any free upgrades prior arrival. Of course, our offer for guaranteed upgrade is still available.
We do thank you for your kind understanding and remain at your entire disposal for any further assistance.

Dear IC LeGrand-Team,
what do you mean by “upgrade cannot be guaranteed”?
I thought that as a Royal Ambassador I am entitled to a 2-level upgrade in principle – also/even with point bookings.
That’s how its written in the Royal Ambassador T&Cs?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with kind regards
Meick
