Das ist ein Aufruf an alle Skywards-Gold-Member. Heute morgen kam folgende E-Mail von Skywards:
Dear Mr Xxxx
Emirates and Skywards have experienced tremendous growth and we thank our loyal customers for this.
The capacity of our lounge facilities has not kept pace with this growth and has been further impacted by the delay in the completion of the new Concourse in Dubai. As a result, we have undertaken a major programme to expand the size and facilities of our existing lounges, and build eight more lounges across our network.
We regret that until these new facilities are ready we must temporarily suspend the benefit of bringing a guest into the Lounges when travelling in Economy Class. This will be effective from 15 April 2011 in all lounges across the network. When travelling in Business or First Class, you can continue to invite one guest who is departing on the same Emirates flight.
We apologise for the inconvenience and plan to reinstate this benefit as soon as we are able to alleviate the current facilities constraint.
We thank you in advance for your patience and support.
Dear Skywards-Team,
as a frequent traveler on Emirates I have experienced already a few times that a Skywards Member who earns all his points to achieve Gold on Economy flights is not that much valued to Emirates. It seems that the management of emirates is ignoring the fact, that I have to make about 20 return trips between europe and DXB per year to keep the Gold membership whilst on business class just 4 are enough. Well, for sure I do pay even more for all my trips than the 4 on business class.
Once you have tried already to show Economy-Class-Gold-Members that they are not as much valued as other frequent travelers by trying to exempt us from using the lounge in Terminal 3 DXB. Well, at least this time you have noticed by all the feedback that this wouldn't be fair at all.
Yet again, you are showing us that we are not welcome to be Gold Members when we achieve it with Economy-Flights.
This kind of solution development for arisen issues the Skywards-Management shows once again, points directly again to the fact, the Economy Travelers are not welcome in the Skywards Program.
Why don't you just ban Economy Trips from earning Skyward Tier Miles? This would solve your "problem" once and for all.
On my part I can assure you, as soon as there is any other airline offering a flight on the same trip I have to make, I will choose the other one and experience real frequent traveler service!
Best regards,
Jeder der seine Frau oder manchmal einen Kollegen dabei hat, weiß wie unangenehm es wäre, den Mitreisenden nicht mehr in die Loung einladen zu dürfen.
