The cargo aircraft was badly damaged when it overran the end of the runway at Seoul-Incheon Airport. All four people on board escaped unhurt.
UPS flight 61, an international scheduled cargo flight from Seoul-Incheon Airport (South Korea) to Anchorage (Alaska, USA) was accelerating for take-off on runway 33L (lengh: 3750 m | 12304 ft.) when the crew aborted the take-off at a considerable high speed.
The pilots were unable to stop the aircraft within the remaining lengh of the runway and overran coming to a stop on soft ground approximately 200 meters north of the runway. It appears the pilots turned the aircraft to the left of the centreline to avoid running head-on into the approach masts.
