Qatar hat kürzlich ein neues Programm für Reiseversicherungen aufgelegt. Zunächst waren nur Versicherungen von lizensierten Middle East Versicherungen akzeptiert. Für 30 Tage musste man mit zusätzlichen 13 Euro Kosten rechnen.
Man rudert zurück und akzeptiert nun auch internationale Reiseversicherungen. Bestätigungen für Versicherungsleistungen eurer Kreditkarte stellen euch die Unternehmen gerne aus und könnt ihr dann bei Einreise in Qatar vorzeigen.

“International Health Insurance Policies:
In addition to the visitors’ health insurance policies issued by insurance companies registered with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), visitors’ health insurance policies issued by MOPH approved international insurance companies are also accepted. The visitor must ensure that the international insurance policy fulfils the acceptance criteria defined by the MOPH, which include:
The geographical coverage must include the State of Qatar.
The policy is valid and cover the period of the full duration of visitor’s stay in the country.
The policy covers emergency and accidents healthcare services with a limit of QAR 150,000, without deductibles or copayments.
The policy covers COVID-19 with a limit of QAR 50,000.
Presence of a physical proof of health insurance coverage (paper format of the policy) to be presented by the border authority and healthcare providers on demand.”
Mandatory health insurance is required for visitors who are required to obtain a prior entry visa before reaching the border crossings of Qatar.
