Betreffend Streik in FRA heute und Morgen:
EDDF airport: strike - Update 3

Apron personnel (non ATC) at EDDF will be on strike from
1400-2300 UTC on 16th Feb.
and on the 17th of Feb. btw 0700 utc and 2100 UTC

NOTAM A0445/12 refers:DUE TO INDUSTRIAL ACTION OF APRON CONTROL AND MARSHALLING SERVICE EXPECT SIGNIFICANT CAPACITY CONSTRAINTS AND DELAYS.
16 FEB 12:00 2012 UNTIL 16 FEB 23:00 2012.
17 FEB 07;00 2012 UNTIL 17 FEB 21:00 2012.

A regulation has already been applied for arrivals from 1100-2300 valid on 16th Feb:
normal EDDF arrival rate applied from 1100-1315.
from 1315-1345 ZERORATE is in force, no arr/dep allowed due to Apron personnel shift change.
from 1345-2300 the arrival rate will be 25/60.

Very high delays are expected after 1400 for arrivals and departures.
We strongly invite AO's not to play with EOBT's in order to improve the slot.
This action will only worsen the situation and cause more delay, without possibility of improvement, considering the low arrival rate.
The mentioned arrival regulation could be rectified tomorrow by suspending all the flights and asking you to send FCM with a realistic EOBT.

Attention all AO's: EDDF night curfew will start at 2300.

We will hold two separate conferences tomorrow with DFS, Fraport and AO's. Times not yet decided.
We will obviously keep you informed.

EDDF AIRPORT STRIKE 17TH FEB -UPDATE 11
EDDF apron personnel strike 17th Feb

The strike on the 16th will be repeated on 17th Feb from 0700-2100 UTC

NOTAM A0463/12 - DUE TO INDUSTRIAL ACTION OF APRON CONTROL AND MARSHALLING SERVICE EXPECT SIGNIFICANT DELAYS AND CAPACITY REDUCTIONS. AIRLINES ARE URGENTLY REQUESTED TO REDUCE THEIR FLTS TO/FROM FRANKFURT BY 50 PERCENT. 17 FEB 06:30 2012 UNTIL 17 FEB 23:00 2012.

Regulation for EDDF arrivals is in force from 0400-2300 with different acceptance rates on 17th Feb as follows:
0400-0645: 50 per hour
0645-0715: rate is zero (intercontinental arrivals NOT AFFECTED)
0715-0745: 20 per hour (air holdings due to possible late arrival of OOA flights)
0745-2300: 30 per hour

Max delay per flight is currently 70 to 90 minutes, and all the planned flights will be able to land before 2300 UTC, so avoiding the night curfew.

Departures are not expected to be subjected to ATFCM delays, but only to EDDF TWR sequencing tool. Therefore we invite AO's to submit EDDF deps FPL's with the most realistic EOBT, checked vs the previous inbound flight (subject to ATFCM delay).
Night curfew for arrivals: 2300 UTC.
Night curfew for departures: 2200 UTC (pls read also below)

The following sent on behalf of Fraport:
Due to night flying restrictions for departure EDDF after 22:00 UTC, no departures are allowed! For exemption of this rule A/O could submit in urgent cases applications in writing or verbally to the local aviation supervision office: ?rtliche Luftaufsichtsstelle / local aviation supervision office Verkehrsflughafen Frankfurt/Main Geb?ude (building) 514 60547 Frankfurt a.M. Meine sonst so geliebte Ausrede für alles und jeden "Die Sonnenstürme sind schuld" scheint dann doch Realität zu werden:

Solar activity info - update

Due to the increased solar activity and its potential impact on aviation NM has been in contact with expert organisations to ensure that it receives reliable information of interest to the aviation community.

NM will continue to closely monitor the situation and assessing risk and, if required, publish any relevant operational information on the NOP Portal.
