British Airways is moving flights to Mauritius from Heathrow to Gatwick.
The switch from November 1 will create evening departures for both the outbound and inbound flights to allow travellers to maximise their time on holiday, BA said.
Flights from Mauritius to London currently leave at 8.55am, arriving at 5.15pm local time.
This will change to a 9.05pm local time departure from the island, arriving 5.20am the following day at Gatwick.
Flights will leave Gatwick at 8.30pm, arriving 12.25pm local time in Mauritius.
The route will be served three times a week by a Boeing 777 aircraft with 275 seats.
BA is also raising frequency of winter flights from Gatwick to Cancun from two to three a week and to Tampa from five to six a week from October 30....
