Thank you for your Email,
Very interesting and surprising news ,
To be fully honest with you, at this stage, we haven’t been informed yet that bookings need to be pre-paid,
The same apply for the standardized cancellation and refund policies for ‘SHA Plus’ hotels, we haven’t heard about an agreement amongst Phuketian hospitality professionals.
Let’s keep in mind that TAT is the initiator of the whole project, their recommendations need then to be reviewed and approved by the local authorities of Phuket, the government in Bangkok and the committee in charge of health of Thailand; through each steps, modifications are operated, yesterday the prime minister was still asking modifications of some conditions of entry in Phuket under the SAND-BOX scheme.
Therefore, I will investigate further about the information you have communicated below in order to understand where does it come from and if it is confirmed or not, I will then keep you updated but I the meantime, I would also recommend to wait for the full and approved version by all competent authorities before moving forward.
Let me also take the opportunity of this email to announce that our property has been officially certified “SHA PLUS” yesterday, we will therefore appear within a couple of days on the list of certified properties in Phuket.
This will make it easier for our future guests to apply for COE before travelling to Phuket .
I’m truly sorry not being able to answer clearly to your question but as you may know we are strictly following local authorities guidance when it comes to rules and regulation of the Phuket re-opening , that’s the reason why we always prefer to get an official announcement before communicating with our valued customers.
