Could you please clarify this issue?

Resolved in 6.1.4. Availability filter could not be applied correctly to AWARD booking classes FS CS YS.

KVS Tool has a number of POS options, but DE is not currently one of them.

Is there something planned to implement this? Currently there huge discrepancies between POS esp. on LH flights.

We are always looking at the possibility of adding additional POSs, but at the moment we do not have a DE POS available.

However, when the US POS Availability is better than DE (as is often the case), it makes more sense to take advantage of the better (US) Availability, instead of trying to ascertain Availability via a local POS (DE) .

Sure, but unfortunately the scenario is currently more and more the opposite.

Mir ist heute aufgefallen, dass KVS nicht wirklich zuverlässig funktioniert, wenn man einen AWARD für mehr als eine Person sucht (in diesem Fall 2):

Yes, a Return Date option will be added in the next KVS Tool release:

Interessant, da gibt es online keine Unterschiede, das haben wir bereits mehrmals mit unterschiedlichen Konten gleichzeitig getestet. Lediglich die Call Center haben manchmal eine andere Verfügbarkeit, das amerikanische oft weniger.

Ist auch logisch, da man für eine Abfrage der M&M-AWARDS in KVS die Nutzerdaten zum Account eintragen muss...

Logisch ist gar nichts, im Gegenteil, KVS muss einen Fehler haben, wenn es bei ein und demselben Kunden andere Ergebnisse liefert als die M&M-Website. KVS macht ja nichts anderen, als im Hintergrund die M&M-Website abzugrasen. Wobei es nach unseren Tests beim letzten Vielfliegergrillen wie gesagt egal ist, in welchem Land ein Konto gemeldet ist, online bekommt man über M&M immer dieselbe Verfügbarkeit. Und die müsste man somit auch via KVS-Amadeus bekommen, aber dem scheint nicht so zu sein.

The Return Date option for the [Awards/M&M] Method has been implemented in KVS Tool Version 6.1.6, which is now available for download at KVS Availability Tool: Global Flight Availability, Award Availability, Fares, Timetables, Seat Maps

M&M may provide preferential Award Availability when an Elite M&M member is one of the travellers. This option will have no effect otherwise.

The F Award Availability will match, but in case LAX-MUC is your return segment, the [Return Date] would actually mean any date, on which there is F Award Availability in the opposite direction. In this case, the default (+7D) [Return Date] does bring-up F Award Availability on LH 453:

So, if I got your answer right, to check AWARD availability for my RETURN flight, I will first have to check when there is my class of service available in the opposite direction in the future of my return date? That's not really convenient for using the tool to scan different dates with this method...

Unfortunately, it is a limitation of the M&M engine itself, which (a) does not support one-way searches and (b) does not handle mixed-cabin itineraries.

In your example above, the M&M 'pretends' that there is no F Award Availability on LH 453/24 Nov 2011, when that is not the case.
