[h=2]VietJet Air to add Ho Chi Minh City-Phuket frequency in summer 2018[/h]22-Feb-2018
VietJet Air plans to increase Ho Chi Minh City-Phuket frequency from four to five times weekly from 25-Mar-2018 (Routes Online, 21-Feb-2018). Frequency will increase from five to seven times weekly from 23-Apr-2018. As previously reported by CAPA, VietJet Air also plans to upgauge from A320 equipment to A321 aircraft on the route from 23-Apr-2018.
CAPA - Centre for Aviation stated (26-Feb-2018) VietJet Air received one new A321-200 (VN-A649, serial number 8153) as recorded by the CAPA Fleet Database. VietJet now operates 29 A321s with five remaining on order.
VietJet Air reportedly plans to increase Ho Chi Minh City-Tainan frequency from five times weekly to daily, commencing 21-Jun-2018 (Routes Online, 26-Feb-2018). The LCC operates the service with A321 aircraft and is the sole scheduled operator on the route, according to OAG.
