Meine Frage bezog sich jedoch eher auf das Allgemeine. Also, kann man sagen, dass es Sinn macht, diese Punkte zu kaufen, weil es z. B. immer mal wieder Hotels der Kat. 7 oder 8 gibt, welche gerade mit Punkten explizit gefördert werden?

Wie Du schon sagtest: "immer mal wieder" ohne Allgemeingültigkeit.
Ich habe bspw. 45% Rabatt. Hiermit kosten 100.000 Punkte ca. 875 US$ bzw. ca. 745 Euro. So viele Hotels gibt nicht die pro Nacht über 745 Euro aufrufen und ich hierfür Punkte auf Vorrat kaufen würde.
Gegenbeispiel sind eher die unteren Kategorien. Hier lohnt es sich immer mal wieder gerade, wenn die 5. Nacht frei ist.
Bspw. AC Hotel Valencia, Kategorie 2.
Das kostet für 5 Nächte zwischen 02. und 07.12.21 insgesamt 786 Euro aufgrund des Marathon. In Punkten aber nur 52.500, welche ich für 450 US$ bzw. 383 Euro kaufen kann. Somit beträgt hier die Ersparnis über 400 Euro.
Wie Du siehst, ist eine allgemein gültige Aussage einfach nicht möglich.

Mein Beispiel von 150.000 Pkt. zeigt mir einen Preis von 1.250,- Dollar an.

So wie ich es verstehe , können Punkte auch verschenkt werden. Also einer hat kein Interesse an den Punkten und verschenkt sie einem anderen weiter. Möglich oder nicht? Meiner Meinung nach, kann einer mit 50% Bonus sogar einmal für sich kaufen und einmal noch verschenken.

Also ist im Idealfall 150k Kauf+ 150k verschenken möglich.

Ab neuem Jahr kann/wird sich durch Punkteentwertung die Einlösung von Punkte im Hotel verschlechtern.

Könnte ich mir gut vorstellen. Bleibt wie immer nur abzuwarten, ob eine solche Aktion auch außerhalb der USA bzw. innerhalb der EU gilt.
